Please follow the below guidelines on what kind of information should be posted to the PatchManagement mailing list: Notifications from vendors of new or re-released patches. Recommended or suggested methodologies for patch management Economics of patch management. User experiences with various patches. "How To" questions about assessing and deploying patches. Thoughts, tips, tricks, and techniques for managing patches in the enterprise. Discussion of tools and/or products that may assist in the scanning, assessment, deployment, and validation of patches. Follow up discussions related to patch management topics in the news. Announcements of new or improved patch management products or service offerings. Risk Management. 0.1.3 What is inappropriate content? Announcement of security vulnerabilities. Product advertisements. Discussion of non-patch related issues. Non-computer/network security related material. Technical support for patch management products is not appropriate for the list. Please address technical support issues to the vendor of the product in question. If the vendor is being non-responsive, you may then post the question to the list for moderation. HTML E-Mails are not accepted on the list and may be rejected by the moderators. Please send E-Mails as plain text messages.
